focusing increasingly on the waste stream from

vehicles that have reached the end of their

operational life.  These are known as -

(End of Life Vehicles or ELV'S)

The Australian Bureau of Statistics estimates that

more than 500,000 vehicles are retired from our

national fleet annually.  These numbers have

increased each year recently and the trend is likely

to continue.  It is imperative that the contaminents

eg.coolant,oil,fuel,brake fluid,refrigerants and

batteries are removed and responsibly recycled or

stored for collection.
